The Annual Auctioneers Convention and Bid Callers / Bid Spotter Contest is coming to Pocatello.

Our staff attends this event every year. We learn from the seminars and compete in the contests. Our very own Roger Stockwell took first runner-up in Couer D' Alene last year!

Roger Stockwell is also the current Vice President of the Association and will be helping to organizing the event. He invites Southeast Idaho to get behind this years Contest and Public Auction. Help us make it the best one ever!

The Contests will be held during an actual auction. Contestants will take turns auctioning off items and be judged during that time. To see the list of fabulous items that will be auctioned, Click Here

Speaker Biographies

Scott Shuman, CAI
Westchester
Auctions

Scott Shuman, CAI represents Westchester Auctions headquartered in Champaign, IL. Westchester Auctions is among the largest real estate auction companies in the United States and conducts land auctions from Coast to Coast.

Shuman was awarded the 1997 and 2002 NAA Auction of the year awards and is currently the only two time winner. He has also won a host of other auction advertising and marketing awards including the coveted Rose Award presented for the CAI Best Auction summary.

Originally from Colorado, Scott attended Missouri auction School in 1986 and opened an auction firm shortly thereafter. He received a B.S. from Colorado State University and a Masters Degree from Purdue University.

Scott is currently serving on the NAA Education Institute Board of Trustees. He and his wife Krista have 3 children Amanda, Walker, and Shelby have recently moved to Eaton Colorado for yet another chapter in their auction portfolio.

 

Daryl Marler
Dealer Operations Program Supervisor
Division of Motor Vehicles
Idaho Transportation Department

Daryl has worked for the Idaho Transportation Department in the Division of Motor Vehicles since September of 1997. Past positions held with the department have included working as a Port of Entry Inspector and Senior Inspector in District 4 at the Hollister and Cotterel Ports of Entry.

After accepting a position as a Motor Vehicle Investigator in District 3, Daryl and his wife moved to Nampa. Daryl accepted the position of Lead Motor Vehicle Investigator for District 3 in 2004 and filled that position until accepting his current position upon the retirement of his predecessor in April of 2005.

Daryl and his wife Kay live in Nampa and enjoy spending time with their daughter, son-in-law, and two teenage grandsons who live in Meridian.
