Auction Notes

Join us for an evening of art and entertainment featuring local artists, musicians and businesses! There will be a silent auction with a "Buy It Now" feature, new for 2010. 

Your ticket includes entrance to the 2010 A & E, 1 complimentary raffle ticket, and your auction number as well as a selection delicious appetizers and desserts. 

Beverages will be available for sale. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $1 each.

Proceeds will go to help with medical expenses of The Portneuf Gap Project recipient, Lesa Horrocks.

Tickets to the 2010 A & E are limited.




 

Bridging the Gap Together

The Portneuf Gap Project exists to bring our community together to help bridge the gap between what hard work provides and the mounting expenses from medical issues.

When major medical issues arise, even the most well-intentioned people can get caught off guard.  Issues such as:  insufficient medical insurance, a care-giver having to quit their job, or a second residence having to be maintained in another town so families can be close to the hospital, can all quickly drain resources a family may have had in place.
 
Our goal is to help families that find themselves in this situation.  They are dealing with an enormous amount of stress which compounds with the struggle to keep out of bankruptcy or face losing their home. This is where we come in and alleviate some of this burden so that they can focus on their family and getting well.
 
It is also our goal to rally the community that these individuals become part of the idea that if a lot of people bring a little bit of their resources, then together the impact on the need can be huge.
 
Finally, we want to highlight the local businesses in our community that are stepping up and supporting the efforts of The Portneuf Gap Project and helping the families in need.
 
Like an old fashioned barn-raising our community can come together and build a bridge to cover the gap.  Like a good Samaritan, we can step in when there is a need to help our neighbor simply because they are our neighbor. We can each bring a little bit and together make a huge difference.
